All equine activity temporarily stopped at Harrison County Fairgrounds
HARRISON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- The ongoing equine herpes outbreak in the south is causing South Mississippi agriculture officials to take precautions as well.
The Harrison County Fairgrounds released a statement saying the fairgrounds and the John Clark Arena will be closed to all equine activity until December 1.
Everyone is asked to quarantine their horses and keep them safe.
All other activities at the fairgrounds will continue as normal.
