Woman charged for illegal gun modification in Gulfport
GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)-Gulfport police have arrested a Louisiana woman for possessing an illegal gun modification device.
Twenty-year-old Destanie Francois is charged with possession of a machine gun conversion device. The arrest came after an early morning traffic stop Monday at 25th Street and 25th Avenue.
Police found a Glock switch and marijuana inside the car. A Glock switch can make a handgun fire up to 1,200 rounds per minute, faster than many fully automatic rifles.
Francois’ bond is set at $50,000.
