10/27 – Rain Chance Increases Late Tuesday Evening
Meteorologist Sam Lucey has a look at your extended forecast
Clouds will gradually increase across the area tonight, with overnight lows near 58 degrees and a light north wind that will gradually calm by morning. There could be some areas of patchy, dense fog developing a few hours before sunrise, so be cautious when you head out the door.
Tuesday will begin mostly cloudy but become mostly sunny by the afternoon as temperatures rise to the upper 70s.
Showers are likely late Tuesday night into early Wednesday as a cold front moves through the region. At this time, we are not anticipating any severe weather associated with these showers and storms will that come through in the overnight, but we’ll continue to keep an eye on anything that pops up. Rainfall amounts should remain light, generally between 0.10″ and 0.25″.
Behind the front, Wednesday will turn cooler and much more breezy, with highs in the upper 60s under mostly sunny skies. Wind will likely pick up from the west-northwest from 10-20 mph, and even higher offshore. This has led to a Small Craft Advisory in effect until Thursday morning, and a Gale Watch in effect for the same time period.
The latter half of the week will feature a stretch of slightly chilly, fall-like weather. Thursday and Friday will be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 60s to near 70 and cool overnight lows in the 40s and low 50s.
The weekend forecast remains favorable, with abundant sunshine, light winds, and highs in the lower 70s on both Saturday and Sunday. By Monday, temperatures will moderate slightly, reaching the mid to upper 70s under continued sunny skies.
