08/20 Ryan’s “Hot Again” Thursday Morning Forecast

We're again in for more dangerously hot and humid weather with at least a few afternoon showers and thunderstorms.

We’re in for dangerously hot and humid weather…again…as we continue a familiar summertime pattern. Temperatures will once again only be a few degrees warmer than normal, but coupled with the high humidity we’ll see heat indices in the 105-110° range. That’s Heat Advisory territory, so please continue to practice your heat and sun safety if you need to spend any amount of time outside. Most notably, stay hydrated and avoid alcoholic or caffeinated beverages as much as possible during peak heating hours. We’ll thankfully see a short-term increase in cloud cover during the heat of the afternoon, with at least few afternoon showers as well. Thunderstorms are possible as well, and even have some slight upper-level support for a low-end chance of severe weather.
