Community comes out for 35th annual Mullet Fest in Gautier

GAUTIER, Miss. (WXXV)- The 35th annual Mullet Festival has come and gone, but WXXV News 25’s Spencer Reid Pullen was able to stop by for some of the action.

Every year in the heart of Gautier, Mississippi, something wild stirs along the Gulf Coast. It’s a creature like no other. Loud, colorful, community-powered, it’s the 35th annual Gautier Mullet and Music Festival.

Mullet tossing may be the festival’s most famous sport, but it’s just one piece of the wild adventures Gautier serves up each year.

It’s a tradition that honors our coastal roots with everything from fresh seafood and local vendors to face painting, jump houses, classic car shows, and the legendary mullet toss.
