Gulfport Fire Department set to receive 26 FLIR cameras

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- The Gulfport City Council voted Thursday to allow the use of funds from the Firehouse Public Safety Foundation Grant to purchase 26 FLIR cameras by the Gulfport Fire Department.

These cameras can help firefighters see through smoke and monitor the fires spread, allowing for quick plans of attack, locating hot spots, and even saving lives.
