9/28 – Mild Tonight With a Warm Start to the Week
Meteorologist Sam Lucey has a look at your forecast
This week starts off warm and dry, with sunshine continuing through midweek. Highs will reach around 90 degrees Monday and Tuesday, which is about 5 degrees above average for the end of September. Overnight lows will drop to near 70 with light winds, shifting between north and southeast.
By Wednesday, highs dip slightly into the upper 80s, and while most of the day will stay sunny, a few late afternoon rain chances begin to creep in. A 20% chance of showers and storms arrives Thursday afternoon, followed by increasing rain chances into Friday and the weekend.
Highs cool into the low to mid-80s by Friday and Saturday, with breezier northeast to east winds around 10-15 mph and scattered showers possible through Sunday. Overall, it’ll be feeling a bit hot to start before a wetter, slightly “cooler” (more average) pattern takes hold heading into the weekend.
