09/23 Ryan’s “Few Clouds” Tuesday Forecast
We saw a few clouds early this morning, with even fewer expected for the afternoon though they begin creeping back in tonight.
Today is the first full day off fall, but it’s still quite summery out there with creeping humidity and plenty of sunshine with just a few clouds. We had even more cloud cover earlier today, but its thinning a touch this afternoon ahead of starting to build back in later tonight. Even then, we’ll see just a few clouds again this evening ahead of a noticeable increase for Wednesday as a front inches southward. This will bring us our first consistent rain in a couple weeks, with Wednesday’s rain chances climbing between 20 and 30% for the afternoon and evening. Those chances rise to 50-60% by Thursday as the front crawls through the area, bringing guaranteed rain…though broken up and scattered about. This will cool things down for the end of the week and weekend as drier air moves in, though largely the mornings will see the biggest benefit.
Tropics: Gabrielle remains a major hurricane for the next day or so as it slowly begins to weaken while moving further north. Invests 93 and 94 are likely to become our next named systems by the end of the week, Humberto and Imelda respectively, though neither poses a threat to South MS.
