Tours given at Long Beach City Cemetery

LONG BEACH, Miss. (WXXV)- The Long Beach Historical Society hosted a historic cemetery tour at the city cemetery, located at West First Street and South Girard.

The interactive tour gives participants a glimpse into Long Beach’s past and history of its early residents through storytelling.

At several gravesites, guides shared the life stories of those buried there and their experiences living in historic Long Beach.

A few tour guides are related to the person they are portraying; one guide even portrayed her own great, great grandmother.

The Long Beach Historical Society connects individuals who share a profound interest in the rich history of Long Beach.
