Coast Transit Authority to end rider hailing system
Coast Transit Authority is ending its longtime hailing system, which allowed riders to hail a CTA bus anywhere along its route.
The system officially ends on October 31. CTA leaders say they made the decision based on rider and community safety concerns and to improve route schedules.
This means starting in November, riders will be required to board and exit only at designated bus stops.
