09/01 Ryan’s “Cloudy Start” Monday Forecast

Skies have gotten a bit cloudy for now, but will clear nicely for most of the rest of the week.

Today’s skies started on the clear side, but they’ve started to get a little cloudy on us for the next several hours this afternoon. A stray, short-lived shower isn’t out of the question either, though it wouldn’t surprise me if 99% of South MS residents didn’t see a drop. It’ll struggle for the next couple hours, then as things start to cool and the stalled boundary to the south of us starts to move away we’ll see the skies starting to open up. That’ll start of Tuesday with mostly sunny skies, which I largely expect will stick with us throughout the rest of the day outside of some thicker cloud cover to the northwest as showers drift our direction. Still, only expect some light shower activity in these areas if any make it this far south, with the rest of South Mississippi remaining sunny and dry.
