GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- Singing River Health System announced they are the first hospital on the Gulf Coast to offer patients the Apex CT Scanner.

The scanner is located at Singing River Gulfport. Upgrades include clearer results, safer scans, and the ability to evolve as technology advances.

Officials saying the technology also enhances care in other critical specialties such as oncology, orthopedics, and much more.

Physicians are provided with faster, sharper, and more detailed images for complex diagnoses.
