MDOT releasing documentary on Hurricane Katrina

The 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina is Friday, August 29.

To memorialize the storm, the Department of Transportation is releasing a documentary.

MDOT faced the task of rebuilding and repairing nearly every major route along the Mississippi Gulf Coast in the aftermath.

This documentary will chronicle the restoration of infrastructure through stories of those at the forefront of recovery.

Running for nearly 30 minutes, the documentary will be released on MDOT’s YouTube channel. Shorts of the video will be posted on the group’s social media pages.
