Flamjeaux Coffee Company commemorating 20th anniversary of Katrina with honorary blend

BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss. (WXXV) — Flamjeaux Coffee Company specializes in coffee education and fresh, homemade blends, and owner Margot Brignac is using this to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina in a unique way.

Brignac has rolled out Flamjeaux’s Cat 5 Dark Roast Blend, roasted in honor of the uniformed personnel who helped in the aftermath of the storm.

David Millen, a retired special agent from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and one of the many individuals who assisted in storm recovery efforts, joined forces with three fellow law enforcement officers to present the idea for this commemorative blend. Since then, Brignac has been assembling countless bags of Cat 5, which feature a picture of the four men and are available around Bay St. Louis, Waveland and Mandeville, Louisiana.

News 25’s Elizabeth Keen sat down with Brignac and Millen in this WXXV exclusive.
