New Safe Haven Baby Box unveiled at Gulfport Fire Department
GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- The newest Safe Haven Baby Box was blessed in Gulfport Thursday morning.
The newest Safe Haven Baby Box represents a significant step forward to provide a safe and anonymous alternative to surrendering an infant.
The baby box is located at Gulfport Fire Station 9, this location will offer a secure and compassionate option for parents in crisis and help ensure every infant has a chance for a safe and loving future.
Across the country and along with this new addition, there are now 371 Safe Haven Baby Box locations with eight in the state of Mississippi.
The organization also provides a confidential national hotline which you can call at 1-866-99BABY1.
