Three arrested in Gulfport in relation to an aggravated assault

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)-Three people have been arrested in Gulfport in relation to an aggravated assault.

Twenty-three-year-old Kaleb Harvey was charged with three counts of aggravated assault. 21-year-old Demarius Harper was charged with one count of accessory after the fact. 21-one-year-old Malaysha Curry was charged with one count of hindering prosecution.

On August 10, officers responded to Klein Road and Olivet Drive in reference to an aggravated assault.

During the investigation, officers learned that the occupants of a Nissan Sentra were involved in an argument.

Harvey exited the vehicle and discharged multiple shots from a firearm at the victims, who were stopped behind them in another vehicle.

One bullet struck the street, causing a piece of asphalt to hit the front windshield of the victims’ vehicle. Harvey then got back into the vehicle and fled the scene.

All three suspects were processed and transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center and being held in lieu of bond. Harvey was on federal probation out of Texas at the time of the incident.
