George County Sheriff’s Deputy arrested for DUI

GEORGE COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- An off-duty George County sheriff’s deputy was arrested Thursday.

Lucedale Police saw the deputy driving under the influence within city limits.

The deputy has been identified as Braxton Keebler. He was taken into custody without incident.

Keebler has been placed on administrative leave, pending the outcome of the case and an internal investigation.

In a statement on social media, George County Sheriff Mitchell Mixon said, “We remain committed to the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. No one is above the law and we believe transparency is essential to maintaining the trust of the community we serve.”
