Blue Mass ceremony in D’Iberville honors local first responders

D’IBERVILLE, Miss. (WXXV)- Sacred Heart Catholic Church hosted a blue mass to honor first responders from the D’Iberville police and fire departments as well as the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and fire department.

The service paid tribute to the dedication and daily sacrifices made by those who serve in emergency response.

Attendees joined in prayer for the continued strength and safety of these men and women as they carry out their duties.

Among those present was D’Iberville City Manager Bobby Weaver, who spoke about the hard work of first responders and expressed the city’s deep appreciation for their service.

The City of D’Iberville had been planning the mass since last year and now hopes to make it an annual tradition moving forward.
