Ryan’s Thursday Night Forecast
I really expected to see more thunderstorms in the area on this Thursday afternoon, but this cold front is moving very slowly and convection has yet to fire anywhere in the six coastal county area. These storms have had a severe history as they moved through Northern parts of the state. Areas of large hail and damaging winds dominated the reports, but flooding and a few tornadoes have also been reported. We’ll see the “slight” chance of severe weather continue into the early morning hours of Friday, lasting all the way into the afternoon. At that point, we’ll begin to see some gradual clearing, lasting all the way into Saturday where the sun will return to the Gulf coast. After that, we wont see many clouds all the way into Wednesday and much drier conditions will prevail. Sounds like a fitting reward for all the gloomy days we’ve had recently.
