07/01 Ryan’s “Rainy Friday” Thursday Night Forecast
Didn’t see much in the way of afternoon showers today, but our rainy weekend ahead will more than make up for it. There were still a few afternoon showers today, but they were much fewer and more far between with no significant accumulation. Tomorrow though that changes. A front will be moving in during the second half of the day, and will likely bring inches of rainfall to South MS. There aren’t many specifics. Models have fluctuated between 2″ and 6″ as the highest total and in different areas of the Gulf Coast.
That means there will be rain, and potentially plenty of it, but the heavier showers will be isolated.
Still, watch for Flash Flood watches and and warnings Friday evening into Saturday morning. By then things will start clear up and quiet down. We’ll still be dealing with some shower activity, but by Independence Day it’ll be closer to average/afternoon only levels. Those chances slide even more heading into next week, which is looking beautifully average with highs in the upper 80s and 20-30% rain chances.
