Southern Miss launches new marine aquaculture initiative

The University of Southern Miss is launching the Marine Aquaculture Demonstration Initiative.

All will be funded through GOMESA.

The initiative will accelerate innovation as well as workforce development and sustainable practices on the Gulf Coast.

Collaborations are also a goal, adding to the regional economy.

Key objectives include the support of businesses and those owners by optimizing species production and showing new technologies to be used.
