Local business offering free kids gun safety lessons

PASS CHRISTIAN, Miss. (WXXV) — A free kids gun safety class is happening this weekend in Pass Christian, teaching young ones the importance of gun safety.

Certified instructors with ShooteReady are gearing up to teach kids 18 and under how to stay safe around firearms. Kids can look forward to learning about the dangers guns pose if not handled properly, and how to safely handle them.

ShooteReady is also hoping to inform kids about how they can stay safe in situations where a gun may be present. The 30-minute class will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday. ShooteReady will be giving out gun locks and certificates to those who complete the class.
