Mississippi welcomes record 45.5 Million visitors in 2025, generating record $18.9 Billion in economic impact

State leaders say Mississippi saw a record year for tourism in 2025.

A new report shows the state welcomed 45 and a half million visitors, generating a nearly $19 billion in total economic impact.

Visitors spent a record $12.4 billion across the state.

That activity supported nearly 138,000 jobs, generated $4.8 billion in personal income, and brought in $1.2 billion in state and local tax revenue.

Governor Tate Reeves says the numbers show tourism continues to strengthen businesses and communities across all 82 Mississippi counties.
