Sand Bag Locations opening in South Mississippi
In preparation for the upcoming weather, sand bag locations are opening up in South Mississippi.
WXXV News 25 will continue to update this list as more locations are announced.
In Gulfport, the sand bag locations open at 1:30 on Wednesday, July 16. There is a limit of ten bags per resident. Those sand bags can be found at:
- Intersection of Glover Street and Hewes Avenue
- Orange Grove Community Center-14415 Dedeaux Road
- Gulfport Fire Station 2- 42nd Avenue and 12th Street
In D’Iberville, sand bags and sand are available for residents at the north end of the parking lot at the Marina, located at 3366 Bayshore Dr. You must bring your own shovel.
The City of Biloxi has set up four self-serve sandbag (bring your own shovel) locations:
- John Henry Back Park, 671 Division St.
- Todd Migues Park, 425 Parker St.
- J. Holloway Sports Complex, 765 Wells Drive
- Fire Station 9, 9370 OakLawn Road.
