Governor Reeves announces special session

JACKSON, Miss- It looks like Mississippi lawmakers will be heading back to Jackson next week for a special session.

Governor Tate Reeves made that announcement on his Facebook page late this afternoon.

The regular session adjourned before a budget was passed.

Mississippi must, by law, have a budget and the fiscal year begins July 1.

Reeves says leadership in the House and Senate say they have reached an agreement.

The governor said the middle of the week.
