Two arrested in home invasion in Harrison County

HARRISON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- Harrison County Sheriff’s deputies released new details on a late March robbery in which one victim was attacked with a machete.

Two arrests have been made in this case.

Daniel Brown and Octavia Winters face a litany of charges now, including robbery, use of a deadly weapon, and aggravated assault.

Investigators say the robbery took place on March 31 at a home on Cypress Bayou Drive, just off Canal Road.

The two victims told investigators they were tied up inside the home and one victim was assaulted with a machete as Winters and Brown stole items and a car from the house.

During the investigation, a cellphone was located at the scene that was found to be left behind by one of the suspects, leading to the arrest of Winters on April 3.

Brown was arrested last Thursday.

The two are now being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center.
