Nesting activities ramping up on Mississippi beaches

Gulf Coast, Miss. (WXXV)- The Mississippi Audubon Coastal Bird Stewardship Program sharing nesting activities have been ramping up on the beaches.

The state’s Least Terns are starting to nest.

The stewardship team is setting up pink flags to mark active areas, wanting to remind the public not to bother these areas.

Least Terns have sensitive nesting areas, the eggs being camouflaged and hard to spot if you do enter the area.
