Mississippi Power celebrates centennial year by giving back to community
GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- Mississippi Power is celebrating its centennial year of service in Mississippi by giving back to local communities.
The company used the 100th day of 2025 to join with local nonprofits across their service territory to determine important needs in each community.
Mississippi Power employees worked to collect, assemble, and drop off each of the items over the last week to ensure the organizations had their donations by April 10.
With the help of community connection chapters, Mississippi Power donated 100 supplies to help support these missions.
Donations ranged from meal kits to backpacks and items to support animal shelters.
