03/20 Ryan’s “Cool Start to Spring” Thursday Forecast
We're off to a cool start for the first day of spring here in South Mississippi!
Yesterday’s cold front pushed through on the last day of winter, setting us up for a cool start to spring here in South Mississippi! This morning’s lows fell between 10-15° from where they were yesterday, with a nice northwesterly breeze as a front moved through late last night without much fanfare. There were a few sprinkles last night, but now skies are clear and the sun is appropriately out as we officially begin spring today. It won’t feel very spring-like thanks to that breeze and a much cooler high than we’ve enjoyed so far this week near 65. The wind will start to weaken later today, leading to an even cooler, borderline frosty morning in the upper 30s tomorrow. After that we’re in for another cool, sunny Friday, but temperatures will climb sharply back into the 70s by the weekend.
