03/14 Ryan’s “Storms Soon” Friday Morning Forecast
We're not seeing much more than areas of dense fog this morning, but storms soon arrive in South MS and are likely to be strong.
Expect today to largely just be grey and warm, but soon storms will begin to develop and they have an elevated chance of severe weather this time around.
We’ll see a small chance of activity around midnight tonight, but after that we’ll have to wait until around lunchtime Saturday, when our risk goes up significantly as a front moves in. The environment we’ll see lends itself to super cell development, meaning larger, longer-track tornadoes are possible from just after noon through sunset. The threat is high enough any decision you make during those hours should consider the weather, and you should have multiple ways to receive warnings. One of the best is our free WXXV Weather Authority app, which will alert you if you are in any of the warning areas should they develop.
