Biloxi turns green for St. Patrick’s Day
The City of Biloxi turning green, all in the name of the big upcoming St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
At the Biloxi City Council meeting Tuesday, the Hibernia Irish Society presented its 2025 Grand Marshal, Collen, and St. Patrick to Mayor FoFo Gilich ahead of their St. Patrick’s Day Parade which will roll down the streets of downtown Biloxi this weekend.
Afterwards, Mayor Gilich read a proclamation, declaring the month of March as Irish Heritage Month.
The Hibernia St. Patrick’s Day is a tradition dating back all the way to 1978. If you don’t have a drop of Irish culture in you, they say nothing should stop you from getting out there to experience the Luck of the Irish.
A sea of green and the sound of bagpipes is set to hit the streets at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 15th when the Hibernia St. Patrick’s Day parade officially will roll out.
