Honoring the life of beloved local athlete and coach, Eddie Ladner.

Before closing out sports, we want to take time to honor the life of a beloved local athlete and coach, Eddie Ladner.

Ladner graduated from Hancock North Central and played basketball at Mississippi college. After playing himself, Ladner coached at Harrison Central high school where he led their boys basketball team to a State Championship. He was later inducted into the 2017 Class of the Gulfport Sports Hall of Fame.

Coach Laner passed away earlier this week, and our thoughts and prayers are with his family. We also thank them for sharing him with the Gulfport sports community!
