Gulfport PD needs assistance in locating armed robbery suspect

The Gulfport Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating the suspect involved in the crime of Armed Robbery.
On June 1, 2017, at approximately 09:34 p.m., the Gulfport Police Department responded to Chevron located at 1701 Kelly Avenue in reference to a reported armed robbery.
Upon arrival, it was learned a black male entered the business wearing dark clothing, masks, and brandishing a handgun. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of currency, the suspect fled the business on foot in an unknown direction.
This investigation is ongoing and we will update as more information becomes available.
