Southern Shores Family Dental holds ribbon cutting

A Long Beach native decided to bring his knowledge of dentistry back to the Coast and open his own practice.

Today, Dr. Jason Olaivar held a ribbon cutting to officially open Southern Shores Family Dental. Dr. Olaivar has a passion for dentistry and wants to focus on helping those with sleep apnea.

Getting the facility opened was a challenge due to COVID-19, but now the office is fully open with a full staff and ready to serve those along the Coast.

Dr. Olaivar tells News 25 Southern Shore Family Dental just wants to change the face of dentistry. “We try to lighten the atmosphere, make it a little less threatening, try to do this a little bit different, get some fun out of dentistry where its not all negative all the time. Even the dentist has trouble going to the dentist sometimes and here we definitely understand that and listen and that makes all the difference in patient care and it’s going to set us apart from a lot of people.”

Southern Shore Family Dental in Long Beach is running a $99 special for new patients.
