Vaccine distribution continues on the Coast

More and more people on the Mississippi Gulf Coast are receiving their COVID-19 vaccine shot.

Vaccine distribution continued in Gulfport today at the Isaiah Fredericks Center. Hundreds of first dose Pfizer shots were administered by Memorial staff members.

Since vaccinations began, Memorial has given hundreds of shots to grateful crowds of people. Director of Clinic Operations Eddie Maddox said, “The community is well receptive of this. They seem to be excited when they come in. And we’re excited to give them. The goal is to get injections into every person who steps through our doorway. I usually tell them I’ve already had it. It’s something that as a community we have to do if we want to get rid of this virus. Everyone has to do it so the goal is again to get everyone on board.”

Anyone interested in making a vaccine appointment with Memorial can do so by calling the Memorial vaccine hotline.
