Kellen Moore hired as New Orleans Saints 19th head coach in franchise history

Huge news out of the New Orleans Saints organization as the team announced Kellen Moore has been hired as the new head coach.

The news that was expected but could not be announced until after Super Bowl 59, Kellen Moore will be the Saints 19th coach in franchise history. Moore is coming off a Super Bowl victory as the Philadelphia Eagle offensive coordinator. The Eagles offense, led by Moore, scored an NFL record 145 points in the postseason.

There are reports that former Los Angeles Charger head coach Brandon Staley has emerged as a serious candidate for the Saints vacant defensive coordinator position, but nothing has been confirmed or is official.
