Mayor Holloway, Former Ole Miss Player, Proud of the School
Biloxi Mayor, A.J. Holloway, played Halfback at Ole Miss in the 60s. While with the Rebels, Holloway played in two Sugar Bowls, a Cotton Bowl, and the 1960 National Championship. A leader on the field, now a leader for the city of Biloxi, Mayor Holloway says he is proud of the University of Mississippi and has high hopes for them this season.
Holloway says, “What have I missed most about it? Well, I loved playing football and I would’ve loved to keep playing, but you know, you get to be an old man and you can’t do that anymore, but they’re doing a good job. I think they got a good coaching staff and it proves it, what they’re doing this year.”
Mayor Holloway isn’t sure what bowl game this Ole Miss team will make it to, but is convinced they will play in one.
