01/23 Ryan’s “Melting” Thursday Morning Forecast

Still frosty for the next few mornings, but our warming trend will have things melting nicely today.

Thanks to ample sun and a few hours above freezing yesterday, things started melting across the area, but at least a few snowy areas remain. We’ll see much more melting this afternoon as the temperature climbs out of the 30s and into the 40s, meaning only the most stubborn, shady areas will keep any lingering snow/ice. I encountered very little on my way in this morning as it was, but there were still a few spots worth slowing down and watching out for. While we’re clearly in the midst of a warming trend, I still wouldn’t expect much warmth for the rest of the week. lows will fall back into the 20s until Sunday morning at the earliest, and highs will only inch out of the 40s by then as well. We’ll still have to wait until next week to return to “normal.” (41°/62°)
