Updated school closures due to winter weather

Due to the ongoing winter weather, schools in South Mississippi are announcing schedule changes. We will continue to update this page as more changes are announced.

All University of Southern Mississippi campuses, teaching and research sites will remain closed on Wednesday, Jan. 22 and all classes will be canceled. An official announcement regarding Thursday will be announced by 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Hancock County School District will be closed Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Bay Waveland School District will be closed Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

All William Carey University campuses are closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Classes are moved to online.

Holy Trinity, OLA, and St. Stanislaus will be closed Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Coast Episcopal School will be closed Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

All Pearl River Community College campuses will be closed Tuesday, January 21. Online classes will continue as scheduled.

Christian Collegiate Academy will be closed Tuesday, January 21st and Wednesday, January 22nd.

MSU Extension Head Start locations in Gaston Point, Nicholls Elementary and D’Iberville will be closed Tuesday, January 21st and Wednesday, January 22nd.

The George County School District will be closed on Tuesday, January 21st and Wednesday, January 22nd.

The Gulfport School District will be closed Tuesday, January 21st, Wednesday, January 22nd, and Thursday, January 22nd.

Stone County School District will be closed Tuesday, January 21st and Wednesday, January 22nd.

Biloxi Public Schools will be closed Tuesday, January 21st and Wednesday, January 22nd.

All schools in the Catholic Diocese of Biloxi will be closed on Tuesday, January 21 and Wednesday, January 22.

All Harrison County School District schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 21, Wednesday, January 22, and Thursday, January 23rd.

Pass Christian Schools will be closed Tuesday, January 21 and Wednesday, January 22.

Resurrection Catholic Elementary and Middle/High School will be closed on Tuesday, January 21st and Wednesday, January 22nd.

The Moss Point School District will be closed Tuesday, January 21st.

Lighthouse Academy for Dyslexia will be closed Tuesday, January 21st and Wednesday, January 22nd.

Ocean Springs School District will be closed on Tuesday, January 21st.

The Pascagoula-Gautier School District will be closed Tuesday, January 21, Wednesday, January 22nd, and Thursday, January 23rd.

All MGCCC locations will be closed Tuesday, January 21st and Wednesday, January 22nd due to inclement weather. All classes will be online.

The University of Southern Mississippi will close operations and cancel classes on Tuesday, Jan. 21 on the Hattiesburg and Gulf Park campuses.

Jackson County School District will be closed Tuesday, January 21st and Wednesday, January 22nd.
