Third suspect arrested in connection with a Friday shooting in Gulfport

Gulfport Police have arrested a third suspect in connection with a Friday shooting in Gulfport.

Police on Monday arrested 24-year-old Debarren Johnson and a 16-year-old, both of Gulfport, and charged them with two counts of aggravated assault.

On Tuesday, a 15-year-old female also was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault.

Gulfport Police were sent to a shooting complaint in the 1400 block of 42nd Avenue about 4:28 p.m. Friday. They learned that Johnson and the minors got out of their vehicle armed with weapons and fired them multiple times before fleeing.
