Harrison Central’s Jayden Cooper and Jaxson Moore sign to play baseball at the next level!
Monday afternoon at Harrison Central High School, two members of their baseball team made their dreams true! Right-handed pitcher and first baseman Jaxson Moore and Mr. do-it-all Jayden Cooper officially put pen to paper to announce where they’ll be taking their talents to next year.
Moore let the ink dry with the Belhaven Blazers in Jackson and Cooper signing with Miles College in Fairfield, Alabama. Both members of the Red Rebel baseball team tell News 25 what this milestone moment means to them.
“I’m feeling great. It’s a big accomplishment for me,” said senior Jayden Cooper. “Every kid has a dream and they just want to sign and stuff like that. It’s really an accomplishment. It means so much to me and then I get to sign next to my best friend since I was seven years old. I just love it.”
“It means everything to me. Obviously all the hard work I’ve put in, the support I’ve had from my family, from my teammates, friends, former coaches and all the belief they’ve put into me and the effort I put in has paid off and I’m very grateful for the coaches at Belhaven for believing in me,” said senior Jaxson Moore.
Congratulations again to Jayden and Jaxson, and we look forward to both of your senior seasons on the diamond soon!
