Coast resident and recent Ole Miss graduate named Rhodes Scholar finalist

One Coast resident who recently graduated from Ole Miss is getting the chance to study in a different Oxford!

Andy Flores of Ocean Springs graduated from the University of Mississippi in Spring 2023. He is a first-generation college student.

Flores works as a special assistant to the director of the Vanderbilt Policy Accelerator.

If selected as a Rhodes Scholar, Flores says he hopes to earn a Master’s Degree in sociology and higher education.
