10/21 – Trey Tonnessen’s “Something In The Orange” Monday Night Forecast

Meteorologist Trey Tonnessen

A gradual warming trend will continue into the latter part of the work week. Expect afternoon highs to be in the mid to upper 80s by Wednesday, which is 10-15 degrees higher than normal for this time of year. The good news is highs look to level out at that point with no additional warming. Can`t rule out a few places hitting 90 degrees, especially Thursday afternoon when many locations along/north of a line from roughly New Iberia to Hammond to Poplarville have a 10-20% chance of reaching 90 degrees. It`s a low chance, but one worth mentioning given how late in the year it`s getting. 90 degrees has only been observed a handful of times after mid October, with our normal last 90 degree day occurring in late September.
