Florida man charged in Biloxi bank robbery

A Florida man is charged with a bank robbery that happened Monday.

Police said 37-year-old Jonathan Sampson was charged with robbery. He was taken to Harrison County jail and bond was set at $250,000.

Officers were called to a bank in the 600 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard about a robbery on Monday.

Employees said a man wearing a red hoodie and jeans presented a note demanding money. An undisclosed amount was taken by the suspect, who fled south toward Beach Boulevard.

Officers in the area located a suspect matching the description. He was identified as Sampson, who was arrested and the evidence was recovered.
