Teacher Appreciation Rally Stone Middle School

Dancing, cheering, and gifts filled the stone middle school gym this morning for teacher appreciation week. Over 70 gifts were donated from dozens of community supporters to give back to the teachers for their hard work. Teachers competed in fun challenges and dance offs while the kids cheered them on. School officials tell News 25 the pep rally could not have happened without the help of the administration and local businesses in Stone County.

“We have great students in our county, we have great teachers, and now I think they have a belief in themselves that they can do it, and this is just a way for our community to come out and show their appreciation.” – Inita Owen Superintendent Of Education

“For all the community to come out and support us and such a small community that we had such an outreach from everybody you know giving us gifts, and lunch, and breakfasts, we feel really overwhelmed.” – Tanya Rae Adams Science Teacher

This was part of a week long celebration honoring and thanking the teachers at Stone Middle School.
