Cities, counties declare states of emergency ahead of Francine’s landfall

Cities and counties along the coast are declaring states of emergency ahead of Francine’s expected landfall on Wednesday.

A state of emergency is declared as a pre-emptive move if damage to infrastructure from a storm is anticipated.

Declaring states of emergency are:

Harrison County

Jackson County

Bay St. Louis — Curfew from 10 p.m. Wednesday to 5 a.m. Thursday

Biloxi

D’Iberville

Gulfport — Curfew from 6 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday

Pascagoula

Waveland — Curfew from 10 p.m. Wednesday to 5 a.m. Thursday
