09/04 Ryan’s “Grey & Rainy” Wednesday Morning Forecast

Cooling noticeably today as grey & rainy weather replaces our sunny starts.

I’ve been trying to prepare you over the last couple of nicer days for the grey & rainy conditions beginning later today. In fact, the “grey” part of that has already started thanks to a nice sheet of morning cloud cover. Some sun is still peeking through, but we’ll see less and less of it over the next couple hours as we head into the late morning/early afternoon. That’s when we’ll begin to see more and more shower activity picking up, with likely thunderstorms mixed in as well though severe weather isn’t expected.

This additional shade may not look the best, but it will cool things down noticeably.  The last few days have seen highs lingering in the low-to-mid 90s, but today’s wills struggle to bread 85. I have an expected high to day of 84 degrees for Gulfport, with a 50% chance of off-and-on showers for the rest of the day. Thursday and Friday are looking much wetter with 80% rain chances, which will cool things down even further. Highs could fall as low as the upper 70s by the end of the week, but they’ll bounce back quickly over the weekend. Thankfully, a “fall-ish” front will bring some cooler and drier days for next week!
