One yoga studio in Ocean Springs provides the community with a unique way to stay healthy.

Downtown Yoga on Porter Avenue doesn’t just work the body, it also works the mind and helps with mental health.

The main focus of the class is to work on breathing techniques and bring harmony to anyone’s life. Owner/lead instructor Ellen Perkins said, “What we do ultimately is provide movement classes for our community, with breath awareness and meditation being vocal elements of those classes. They are available to anyone willing to try.”

Yoga Instructor Tori Terry said, “I love introducing yoga to new people or introducing movement in ways people wouldn’t normally move their bodies. Being creative and having fun.”
