08/06 Ryan’s “Hotter” Tuesday Morning Forecast
Temperatures keep rising!
You read that title right, today will be even hotter as temperatures keep rising each day and night. Thankfully that’s not a trend that’ll continue for too much longer, but today and tomorrow will likely be the hottest of the week as they reach 100 later today. Highs “should be” around 91 degrees for this time of year, which we’ve been above all week long so far. Each day has added a degree or so to the high and low from the day before, leading to this steady increase from the upper 90s to today’s 100 later on. That’s not even factoring in the humidity either, meaning it will “feel” significantly hotter with heat indices in the 100-110 degree range. Expect those uncomfortably hot and humid conditions to be further complicated by today being one of the rare, dry summer days without any cooling afternoon showers.
That’s not dramatically hotter than it has been, but is still “dangerously” hot, reaching and nearly exceeding Heat Advisory levels. So, while it isn’t the type of dangerous or severe weather that’ll reach out and “get you,” one should still take caution. Please continue to practice heat safety by staying hydrated, taking breaks in the shade whenever possible, and limiting direct, long-term exposure as much as possible. Should you begin to feel overwhelmed, seek AC and water immediately!
