Welcome Home Party For Sophia Myers

For almost two months, the coast community has been reaching out to help a young girl with a brain tumor and tomorrow, her family and friends want her welcomed home the right way.

Seven year old Sophia Myers was diagnosed with a brain tumor in February and has been in Atlanta Georgia with her family getting treatment.
They all plan to return home this weekend.
While the welcome home party is also a fundraiser for Sophia, Sophia herself requested it have a ghostbusters theme and only be an opportunity for coast residents to find their newest furry family member.

“She doesn’t want any gifts or presents for herself. She didn’t even ask for it to be a fundraiser. We made it a fundraiser on the back end. The main reason of this party is just to make her happy. Donate to the Animal Shelter. The animals will be there. The shelter will be there. Hopefully some of the pets will be adopted and she will see that happen and that will make her happy.”

The event with help from the Jackson County Animal Shelter will be tomorrow in Pascagoula from 10 until 2.
If you’d like to donate, give Adrianne a call at 228-990-2626.
